Pisces Energy Update

Flow into fantasy as the Sun swims into the sign of Pisces and we are able to see beyond the veil into the infinite. Attuning us to the fluidity and synchronicity of life by expanding our awareness back to the sea of the soul. Sincerity of heart and compassionate understanding opens us up to the miracles all around, and we begin to heed and align with the messages and signs from the divine. Learning and walking the path of return into unconditional love as false constructs and identities dissipate, beckoning our bliss into being.
The outpouring of life’s waters through expression and awakening from our time in Aquarius, now flows back into the endless ocean of love in Pisces season. Where our originality and individuality meld into universal beingness. Encompassing the truth that, while we are all unique sparks of consciousness, we are all of the same breath, same blood, and all return to the waters of oneness. In Aquarius season, we were asked how our liberation could make a difference for the collective, and now Pisces guides us back home to healing the separation from Source. Knowing that this remembrance is what will truly bring the peace and union we so dearly long for and need on this planet.
Psychic Pisces is the 12th and final sign of the zodiac and is the mutable of the water signs. From this comes the dual or simultaneous awareness of the soul and the perceived ‘self’. Being mutable, Pisces is the motion of the ocean – primordial, formless, changeable, and unbound. This energy reflects our own amorphous soul that is beyond time and space and assists us in our faith and surrender to the ineffable. Being the last of the water signs, the potential to feel the subtleties of emotions and energetic shifts is extremely heightened. This is a time of receptivity, imagination, and cleansing. We gain our sixth sense and transcendent impulse that leads us into dreams and the subconscious realms. We move with the flow of life as a poetic prayer, creating and knowing that our existence is our art. Pisces energy is porous, and longs to dissolve the barriers resisting a relationship with Spirit, sometimes even by experiencing loss of that which we most identify with in order to return to the soul. How and where could we be stifling our own life force, intuitions, and creativity? What most enchants us, and brings us to that timeless place where we find stillness and serenity? The cosmic fish will help us to feel our way through this time and will give guidance within visions and downloads that realign our willpower with divine direction.
Reality and our perceptions of it are altered in this time, as nebulous Neptune is the planetary ruler of Pisces. In Greek Mythology, Neptune is seen as Poseidon – the God of the Sea ruling over all bodies of water. This misty planet defies time and material constraints, activating our mysticism and extra-sensory experience. Ruling etheric communications such as art, music, photography, film, and dance. Neptune reflects our ideals, fantasies, and even illusions. Emanating the intangible, sympathetic, and inclusive identity. This identification with divine consciousness is often why Pisces can experience what feels like a lack of self and is referred to as “the sign of undoing”. The energy of Neptune connects us to the emotional and galactic body, enfolding us in a sort of empathetic osmosis to truly feel and care for what others are feeling and experiencing. In Traditional Astrology Pisces is co-ruled by Jupiter, and so the ability to see the bigger picture is exemplified through this emotional Neptunian lens. The magnetic forces of Neptune induce the longing to escape mundane reality to reunite with the cosmic interdependence of all beings. This is why it can be very important in this time to learn boundaries and to support practices that ground and help us to integrate, as Neptune can cloud the sight as much as grant it. The vast, unknown that Neptune portrays can project us into deeper connection with Source – conjuring potent imaginings for a new world and for universal truths to emerge.
The mystic mermaid Pisces is represented as two fish swimming in opposite directions, between the worlds of matter and spirit. Enigmatic, existing in the macro and microcosms as the fusion of soul and form. The fish teaches us in the crossing of physical bounds with its permeable, ethereal nature through accessing altered states and the wisdom gained from them. And like its polar sign Virgo, Pisces purifies – understanding that when the ego projects a reality as an ultimate truth, illusions are always created. Pisces being the final sign, teaches that the blessing of experiencing pain and even hopelessness in order to face the void will hinder continued disillusionment. Pisces energy knows sacrifice, and that this process is part of the path of unconditional love. For in total surrender, we can fully forgive others and ourselves by learning to face what is. The fish will often have to face reality versus the idealistic fantasy in order to come full circle into true compassion and understanding – so too, will we. In this time, we are learning how to love self and see the divinity within ourselves, just as much as within others. The bondage of separateness is ended when the soul returns into alignment with the consciousness of One. And like precious Pisces, this can manifest as our being feeling overly sensitized to the harshness of reality and potentially overwhelmed due to the increased rate of our perception. Pisces has walked the path of every sign before it, picking up traits along the way to encompass and accomplish this final journey back to our Source. This soulful siren reminds us how to swim with the current, and that the abyss, the unknowns, and all the endings that Pisces represents – morphs into birth (Aries) and a new beginning.
Planets in Motion
Queue the daydreams and rose-colored glasses as the Sun enters Pisces on February 18th, with Mercury following for a swim on February 23rd. Bringing more Piscean feeling and vulnerability to our communications and thinking. Our words may be imbued with more softness and subtlety, and we may think in ways which consider the emotions and perspectives of others. With this placement, we can be in conversation with the cosmos, yet Mercury in Pisces can also create a haze of clouded reasoning, as the planet of logic finds itself swaying to the rhythm of intuition instead. Pisces speaks in signs and symbols, so allow for more stillness and take the time to decipher the messages from the deep.
The Full Moon in Virgo on February 24th will bring a time of culmination and fertilization of what we started during the New Moon earlier in the month. Virgo being the opposite sign of Pisces assists in the transmutation we are now undergoing to purify and renew the vessel for the astrological new year in Aries season. Bestowing the tools and techniques needed to ground, protect, and keep us functional in this very fluid time. This Full Moon being opposite the Sun will serve in the consummation of our practical path with that of the spiritual. Regaining our clarity while also leaning into the embrace of the unknown. A delicate dance bringing symmetry and eye-opening awareness to how we care for our temple, within and without. Illuminating our focus on work, health, habits, and home – as well as the skills to utilize the depths of our intuition in this physical world. Keeping us balanced, healthy, and organized on the journey through the waters of Pisces season.
Vestal Venus also enters the sign of Pisces on March 11th, bathing in this celestial energy, as Venus is considered to be exalted or functioning at its highest frequency in this sign. This is a time when we can see the beauty in everything, deepening our connectedness to self, those around us, and to life itself. Submerged in romance and the frequency of love as we may fancy relationships that are more emotional and arouse soul-feeling. Psychic mingling and flirting with our energy mix with gentility and fantasy as the heart leads us to many magical musings and moments. Venus here yearns for our return into love, and we find ourselves expressing from a place of beauty, harmony, and unity. We can become very accepting, and want to love with no bounds, so it’s important to remember that although Pisces rules unconditional love, we do in fact need certain conditions to be met as humans for love, values, and virtue to be respected. Unconditional doesn’t mean a lack of boundaries, it means being able to see and meet people at their truest level, which is love. To love wholeheartedly begins with us, and Venus in Pisces can evoke beautiful healing and evolution of the heart.
